LeadPages' Simple SMS Strategy for 17% Conversion Rates

We all know LeadPages for being the leader with creating quick, easy, beautiful, and high converting landing pages in minutes.

And when the crew at LeadPages and Tim Paige, the man with the “velvet voice” and host of LeadPages’ Conversion Cast, came to us looking for a better way to generate leads for their Podcasts using text messaging, we knew we could help them.

We let them in on the BETA of our brand new SMS “Lead Generation Conversation” feature, which gives our customers a simple and automated way to capture names, email, even custom fields from text messages to instantly build their list.

So after a quick chat and a few minutes they were off to the races.

Tim recorded a new intro which prompted people to text LEADPAGES to 38470 to register for their webinar and the rest is history.

Listen to Tim’s call to action…

(podcast)

When Tim and I chatted last week for an episode of Conversion Cast and how we generated a 71.5% conversion rate from our text-to-join feature, Tim revealed his stats…

14% of Leads Became Customers!

I was astounded, but not shocked. Everyone can text and these stats only further prove that SMS is a great way to generate leads for targeted followup to drive sales.

Finally, Here’s How To Collect Leads (Emails) From Texts

From the Podcast, Tim asked people to register for their webinar by texting in the keyword LEADPAGES to 38470 and once their opted in they would receive an autoreply message asking them to reply back with their email.

Here’s the flow of Tim’s conversation…

Because they integrated this with Infusionsoft, Call Loop automatically updates or adds this phone number and contact to their infusionsoft account… automatically!

This then triggers a campaign inside of Infusionsoft register them for the Webinar and sends them emails driving them to attend the webinar.

It’s really that simple.

The Setup

When you create a Broadcast, Followup, or Trigger you’ll see a checkbox name “Request more information?” This new feature will allow you to create responses to collect a First Name, Last Name, Full Name, or Email. By clicking this it will reveal a new set of features.

You’ll be able to customize your invalid and successful responses. Not only do we store this information inside of Call Loop, but if you’ve integrated with one of our 3rd party email autoresponders like Infusionsoft, we’ll automatically add them to your system.

We’re rolling out integrations with AWeber, MailChimp, and many other autoresponders in the next few weeks so please stay tuned!

So what do you think?

Are you as excited as we are about this feature? Leave a comment and let us know how you plan on using this new feature.
